Summary

Is an embedded software developer with broad technical and scientific background that can handle from abstract classes to assembly code.   Is also familiar with circuit schematics, data sheets and GPIB instrumentation like scopes, spectrum or network analyzers, etc. Fast learner with strong algorithmic and mathematical skills, can do bilingual (English/Spanish) documentation, good communication skills and experienced lecturer.  Is a US citizen.

Skills

C/C++/C#/VB/SQL -      Electronics/Electromagnetism/Advanced Math - Bilingual Documentation - MS Office

Work Experience:

I        DSP/Microcontroller Embedded Software (USA 2005 - 2006):

·     With ATG (Advanced Technical Group), developed the software for a TMS320 (Digital Signal Processor from Texas Instruments), which is the central processing unit of an instrument for testing military grade collision avoidance systems, ordered by Honeywell Aerospace. This involved memory mapping, interrupt handling, flash firmware loading and talking to other programmable chips through SIP and other special protocols. This project also involved designing GPIB automated microwave measurements with network and spectrum analyzers. (Description of these project at http://includesoft.com/DSP/DSP_Index.htm )

·     Other minor projects involved 80186 embedded software and the EzUSB chip from Cypress

III Computer Telephony and Voice over IP: (USA 1997 - 2004)

·   Developed from scratch a product that monitored voice traffic through CISCO VoIP gateways in real time through the WEB, do troubleshooting and generate call detailed records for billing. Full description at #include’s website http://includesoft.com/BigBro/big_bro_Home.htm.

·   Founded #include Software Consulting. Developed from scratch using C++ MFC,  MS SQL and VB, a multipurpose switch based on Dialogic boards and Industrial PC named the OmniBox. Full description at #include’s website http://includesoft.com/omnibox.htm  Sold Installed and tested about 40 of these switches that could handle as mush as 100000 simultaneous calls. On 2001 it peaked over a million dollar in sales.

IV Windows Programming: (USA) (1993-2005)

1.      Software Engineer for ACD Systems (ACDSee &CANVAS) Image and Vector software package for Windows and MAC (6/04 to 4/05).

    ¨ Visual C++ 3D-Imaging of MRI and CT scan (http://includesoft.com/WindowSW/stacks_and_3D/stacks_in_3d.htm )

    ¨ 3D surface plotter, shape generator and a tool to draw and display shapes in the 3 dimensions (http://includesoft.com/WindowSW/stacks_and_3D/3dizer.htm )

    ¨Auto color balance, auto-level and auto-contrast smart single click filters for digital photography.

2.    Foreign currency virtual trader involving statistics and SQL Server expertise. (Related papers at http://includesoft.com/Statistics/statistics_idx.htm )

2.      Hi math namespace, for dealing with special functions like Legendre polynomials and spherical harmonics,  vectors, complex numbers,  3D representation of surfaces,  2D projections and more. A demo can be seen and downloaded from http://includesoft.com/include/complimentary.htm . (5/04)

3.      Software Engineer for Video Jukebox Network, The Box cable TV channel (2/1995 to 8/1997). Visual C++ (NT, multithreading MFC, CSocket for TCP/IP over a satellite network, MS SQLServer). An IVR computer telephony application involving Dialogic D/240T1 cards on an ISDN PRI service. Also a class for video overlay and background transition effects using a Targa 64 board and a Sound Blaster for sound effects.

4.      Consultant for JVC Professional Products. Developed a product called the “Application Builder” coded as SF-P27UA. Present version is based on ActiveX (VTRcontrol.OCX) which control VTR’s through RS232 or RS42(4/1993 to the release for Win 32 on 11/1996).

5.       Software Developer for ITELCO USA Inc.: Program for controlling a GPIB Spectrum Analyzer for special measurements on Broadcasting equipment; System to generate digital elevation models from terrain maps scanned images, used to design broadcasting networks.  Network Supervision System that include: a special microwave long range network protocol (5/1993 - to 2/1995).

6.      Developed computer simulation for Columbia Pictures for the shooting of  "Bad Boys". (8/94)

V.               Back in Cuba: Had experience in robotics and CNC, analog electronic design, physics research and teaching.

Educational Background

Graduated as "Licenciado en Física” from the University of Havana (between a BS and an MS in Physics).  MS in Physics after a fellowship in the University of Uppsala, Sweden and made Ph.D. thesis on Sputtering Thin Film Deposition and Etching for MOS, this involved high vacuum, thin film, radio frequency and silicon planar technologies as well as low pressure plasma physics.
