When working for ACD, I developed tools for drawing in 3D; these were to go in the Scientific Release of CANVAS X. Below there's a description of some of the capabilities of this sophisticated drawing tool.
Any of the above drawings can be turned into an animated object like the examples below:
3 dimensional charting was is also available. Surfaces defined by 3 variable analytical equations could be drafted, combined and animated as show in the examples below.
